Culdesac Tempe: Pool and Maker Space Building Architecture

Tempe, AZ

This building was thoughtfully placed at the primary internal crossroads within the Culdesac Community.

The pool space is an intimate courtyard that engages the central park on one side and the maker space on the other.

A large 3,400 square foot maker space will provide opportunities for classes as well as a space for residents to complete their own projects using provided tools and equipment. The building has a large “porch” element that engages the intersection, provides a shaded place to sit, and deflects views along the east-west and north-south paseos.
